I am guessing you mean a bale of hay. It depends where you need to buy it, which cutting and what the hay is made of. There is grass hay, grass/alfalfa mix and straight alfalfa. You can pay anywhere from $2.00 to $4.50 depending on all the different factors involved.

In Oklahoma, Texas, Missiouri, and Kansas there has been drought conditions.  For a the small square hay that one person can lift, has been $2.50 - $10.00 a bale.  higher in some places.

For large round bales which need equipment to move anywhere between $35.00 - $145.00 a bale.  Depending on location, and honestly of the person being bought from.
