  1. The price of silver changes daily.   Are you asking for the actual worth of the silver in the coin?  Right now one troy ounce is $18 and some change per ounce.   That price changes daily though.

    Depending on the coin, it could be worth more than the intrinsic value of the silver in the coin.


  2. It depends on if it is really a coin, in that case it would have a denomination on it. Such items are the America Eagle bullion coin or maple Leaf from Canada. Those type of coins sell for more than the silver in them for they have a collector base and known mintage figures the date on it determins it's value. Then there are the silver rounds that are not coins but medals. They have no country name or date on them, usually no denomination and some have the word copy on them. They usually are sold for a little above the spot price of silver and are bought by dealers at a percentage below the spot price, so a dealer can make a profit. Mintage's are usually unknown so are not a factor in value. This type of item has a value the day you sell it. A coin dealer can tell you the value for that day.
