How much is a diplomat or an ambassador's monthly and annual income?

I would be very happy if anybody could answer the question. You can tell me more about the career and duties as a diplomat and an ambassador.^^

Ambassadors typically make over 100K dollars and are paid according to the Federal Executives pay scale. Obviously they also get all the benefits other federal employees receive in addition to free housing, free transportation, a car with driver not to mention Marine Corps Security detail.
