How much is a gallon of gas in England?

Excuse me, Rob w, but when one is so used to referring to 'it' as gas it just was typed naturally.

  1. 20% bigger than a U.S. gallon.

    American's pay about half that.

  3. The English pay twice what Americans pay, but they drive much smaller cars that have better fuel economy.

    Please note, it is "petrol", not gas.

  4. As of June 11, 2008 according to an English newspaper, and after I'd done the calculation, about $8.72 a gallon.  Ouch.  No wonder they're flocking to public transportation.
