  1. Monetary value is actually around £150 ($300) at the most as they are silver which has a thin layer of gold plated onto it. (Price of silver is a fraction of that of gold)

however they will bring more than this in a direct auction sale as they have the Olympics attached to it. Although the name of the person who won the medal will also affect the price.

  2. My husband and I were talking about that last night but we are not sure what it is worth.

  3. 50p on ebay, they are all chocolate inside

  4. in canada i believe $25,000 given to the athelete for winning it, if you are talking about the actual medal i am not too sure.

  5. Priceless.

  6. It is just 300 US Dollars totally. And I can also tell you the gold olympic medal in Beijing is much expensive than the past olympic games because the gold medal were attached with a piece of jade. It is different!!

  7. Beijing Gold medals are worth US $500,000 and I doubt London Golds are worth 'priceless' at least US $250,000.

So why is Beijing more expensive than London's? Jade is worth where it doubles the cash.

  8. To be honest, If it is a British Gold Medal , you are thinking of, then the answer is :-

    Priceless.

  9. Actually, it's 6.1Million.

  10. There coated in gold that's all i know

  11. You can't really put a price on a gold medal, or any medal won for that matter. As most people have stated before - priceless.

  12. theyre about 750g that price for gold is about 8-9  grand.

  13. A GOLD MEDAL IS PRICELESS!

  14. i would imagine the value of the gold is a couple grand, but the value of a specific medal in a specific even could be worth much much more (like any of Phelps' world record gold medals)

  15. The gold on them is electroplated on silver.  The value of the medal is actually much more than what it would be even if it were pure gold as a collectible.

  16. $51,000 in China. S$1 million in Singapore. Plus all the endorsements. Worth more than its weight.

  17. its not about the worth of the medal because you can't put a price on one of those because of the hard work and skill it takes to win any medal in the Olympics so silver bronze or gold they are all priceless beacause they are so hard to win not everybody can say it was easy to win a medal in the Olympics other than Michael Phelps LOL!!!!

  18. I am not totally sure, but they aren't  100 percent gold  so less than when they were when they were 100 percent gold. If you are like and athlete trying to sell a gold medal, I wouldn't because they are totally priceless.
