How much is a gold quarter worth?

My brother has one and its not the new gold dollars

its clearly a quarter

Unless it is a lot heavier than other quarters it is gold plated and worth 25 cents.  Maybe 26 cents.

There's no such thing as a gold quarter, so what he has must be a regular quarter that's been gold plated for some reason.

It's "worth" whatever anyone wants to pay him for it. There's a company selling those gold-plated quarters on line for a dollar or two each:

Is it uncirculated and in mint condition? Most coins aren't worth much unless they are. If you think it is worth something take it to a coin shop.
