How much is a good surfboard? Where can I browse them online?

I would probably need a small size. I'm 5'6" and a girl.

What are some small, functional surfboards I could look at?

Posting any online surf shops you know of would rock.

(And I'm not a newbie that's gonna run into the waves and get myself beaten up; I've surfed before.)

It's always a good idea to talk with someone at a local surf shop about board types before investing in a board. A good new stick will cost 500-700.00. A nice used board will cost 200-400.00. You can look locally on http://craigslist.org  

It's like a newspaper classifieds, often has pics, and you can negotiate prices. Need to bring a surf-knowledgeable friend when buying from craigslist.
