  1. i live in sardinia since i was born!where do u live?

because if u live in england u will surprised by our prices because england is more more expensive!!

a pizza margherita (with cheese) 5 euro (or less)

    a salad 3 euro

    an ice cream 1.5 - 2 euro

i think that are resonealbles prices!!

    good luck with ur holiday

  2. A whole pizza will run you 5-6 euros

    Gelato 1-4 euros

A nice dinner out with 4 courses 20-50 euros....

I don't think Sardinia is any more expensive than the rest of Italy

I lived on Sardinia for two years....

  3. $20

  4. If you are worried about the cost of the food, then you should not be going to that destination spot.  Like all places on the planet you will have a variety of choices from 1 to 4 stars and the dodgy diner down the narrow lane, which has the best authentic food, except it's not rated anywhere.

  5. Prices are quite reasonable.  Here is  a pick of local fare

Try Ravioli con Ricotta (ravioli with fresh cheese) in any Sardinian restaurant or home.

Porceddu is a local speciality, it's a young pig roasted into a hole on terrain in a special manner with local spices.

Try the fish too, the mediterranean fish ( pesce azzurro ) is a real special dish here. Look for a fish market in any small coast town and buy your own fish in the early morning, cook and eat it: it's simply fantastic.

Another thing to try is the sardinian pastry: they have a lot of specialties in this field

    here some prices

    The food

The sea obviously has a huge influence on the cuisine of the coastal area. Sea urchins, snails and shellfish are local delicacies, as well as a local ‘caviar’ made from tuna fish roe. If you are looking for a reasonably priced meal for all the family, look for a restaurant advertising ‘Pizzeria’ as well as ‘Ristorante’. You will be able to purchase a pizza from €4.50. Seafood is sold by the 100g or ‘etto’ and you should expect to pay from €3.50 to €5.00 per 100g for white fish. Lobsters are sold by weight and are often brought to your table live for you to select. There are usually reasonably priced pasta dishes (€5.50 to €9.00), as well as meat dishes (€9.00 to €14.00) including horse steaks (cavallo). Salads are usual pretty basic in Italy so don’t expect much ore that lettuce and a chopped up tomato from a mixed salad.
