How much is a modern cam corder??

Question

a video camera that you put a disk in, which goes in your computer,

and you can edit the video and stuff?

somethign very modern, very new,

how much would it be??

Best video quality continues to come from miniDV tape based camcorders.

Next best video quality comes from hard drive and flash memory based camcorders.

Entry level camcorders are about $250-$600

Mid-range are about $700-$1,200

High end will be more than $1,300...

The "OMG" range is $2,900 and more...

Worst video quality - especially for video editing - comes from DVD based camcorders. Please do not get one. The only thing they are good for is being a paperweight or a doorstop. DVD based camcorders were a good concept, but poorly implemented.

You mean USB?? Cause I haven't heard of any camcorders like that. Anyway, usb camcorders are lucky for you very cheap. Probably cheaper than they were 10 years ago. They go for $80-500 depending on what kind. There's the handheld camcorder which are close to $100 or less and are made for the digital camera lovers who just want to film the little stuff. Then there's the real camcorders that come with all the stuff like HD video quality and etc.
