How much is a numbered Seth Thomas clock worth?

After my grandparents died, I was left with a large pendulum, Seth Thomas wall clock. It has no date on it that I can find, but it has a certificate and is numbered 3141/4000. Any ideas on where I would go to find out how much it might be worth? Who prices clocks? I don't plan on selling it, but I'd like to have an idea of its value, if it has any.

Seth Thomas made clocks for a long time. Without knowing what style or model at least, it'd be impossible to guess. There are antique dealers almost everywhere that can give you an estimate though. Check your yellow pages. Of course, clock experts will be able to give you a more specific answer. Good luck!
