  1. My boyfriend, who bought our parakeet from a flea-market got everything for 65$ total.

The bird its self was only 10$, then he got everything else all together for 55$.

It really just depends on where you live, and where you choose to buy from.

You could always look around at places like flea-markets, because you just never know where you might find one. =]

  2. Well my budgies costs and everything with it was around $200.

It depends on what kind of budgie you get.-----rare or normal

----what kind of cage you get (mine was only $30)

----how many toys and what kind of toys

    ----food------and nutritional supplements

Again it all depends on what you decide to buy.

(for materials what you buy is what you get.   the higher the price the more better the product is **and the more safer for your budgie**but buying the budgie isn't always what you buy is what you get.  some people sell bad budgies with lots of health problems for the same amount as a healthy budgie so be care full and look for healthy signs of a budgie)

    --clear eyes

    --feathers are in line

    --no bald spots

--beak is in good shape and fits in with the bottom beak

    --nails are finely curved

--toes are all different sizes but look well proportioned to each other......you should never have a budgie with the same sized toes!!!!!

--the budgie is interacting with it's fellow budgies (if with some) and chirping with them or doing other group budgie stuff!

good luck finding the right bird!!  They are such a joy to have!  budgies have big hearts once they see you as a fellow flock member which may take up to 6 months but after that and you gain their trust and friendship it is worth it!!

  3. Probably close to $70-100.

Where I live the bird is $20 and a small cage around $30. That's $50.

Then a toy, cuttle bone, seed, millet sprays and maybe a few extra water and feed holders be another $20. If you need a book that could be $10-20.

Usually if you have some time to look around you can get most stuff free or real cheap from friends or yard sales.

Ask around and you may find a person raise the birds and sell you one for $10.

  4. well i paid 25 for a bird 20 for a 2 bird cage and i swing thingy for 5 welll depend on how many birds and how big of a cage
