  1. quite expensive to be honest!

  2. Then go back to the surf shop where you got the one that snapped, and buy another one for the same price! depending on what you want, you can get a new surfboard from anywhere around $350.00 US to $2000.00 US. But go to a surf shop and ask the poeple who sell surfboards, instead of a bunch of strangers on the internet.

  3. $250-$900.

  4. Shortboard:

    - $350 to $650 will get you a great board from a respectable surf shop, no need to pay more or less than that.

    - $175 to $250 will buy you a board that will work from one of the bulk retail stores like Sam's club (they only have boards for sale around summer time).

-$30 to $150 you can buy a used board from someone... hit or miss with that choice.

    Longboard:

    - $500 to $1100 from a surf shop depending on the size you want. Starting at about $500 for an 8 foot fun board and going up $150 dollars each foot after that.

-$400 or under for a used board. Longboard work well used because a couple dings doesn't water log them like it does shortboards.

  5. new or used, big or small, pop-out or shaped, are you beginner or intermediate... these are all things you need to tell us. i can't answer that question! they range from $30 on craigslist to $800 dollars at a high end boardshop.

    sorry but not enough info.

  6. 500 up unless you have a hook up in a store jaja but yeah or or you can go to a store or online and find out

  7. how much did your board that got broken by the huge wave cost?  that would be approximately how much a new board similar to it would be......

  8. a new one cost about $500+ about. used one can cost bout anything

  9. While I very much doubt you have ever been surfing, here's some info.

Boards vary greatly in price. The price depends upon

    a) the shaper (or, if it is a pop-out)

    b) the general type (i.e. longboard, shortboard)

    c) construction (composite, epoxy, PU, etc)

    b) the seller

I'm not too familiar with longboards, but they are generally more expensive, at least up to 1200$.

Shortboards usually vary from about 400$ to 600$. You can get a PU board for that much. Epoxy can usually run you about 3-4 hundred dollars more. For example, you could get a tractor (JS industries) PU board for about 400$. However, I got a Rusty TL2 last year, and it ran me about 780$. I'd say at least 65% of boards are PU right now.

I suggest you don't get a board on the internet, or a used one unless its from a surf shop. The best thing for you to do, getting a new board, is to go to your local surf shop. They know the breaks you'll likely be surfing, and can help you choose the right board.
