  1. Did you try http://www.taxifarefinder.com/?

  2. expensive ... it's hard to say exactly how much because London black taxis work partly on distance and partly on time, so a lot depends on how many traffic jams you get stuck in ... I would estimate it wouldn't be less than £25-£30 ... it's only worth doing this if you have so much luggage you couldn't possibly manage it on your own, or if you have a disability, or there's 2 or 3 of you to share the cost

there's a lot cheaper way to do it ... either take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington and get a taxi from there ... or take the London underground train (there's three stops on the underground at Heathrow, one for terminals 1,2,3, one for terminal 4 and the new one for terminal 5) to South Kensington and pick up a taxi there ... South Kensington is a lot closer to Chelsea than Paddington but would probably involve you in carrying suitcases up steps or stairs ... or take the National Express coach from the bus station which is near terminals 1,2,3 to Victoria Coach Station and again a taxi from there ... Victoria is quite close to Chelsea so the taxi fare probably wouldn't be too much (and there's a good taxi rank at Victoria Coach Station as well)

are you staying in a hotel and have you checked out whether they provide a shuttle bus?

    good luck

  3. i think its something like £75 but it worth asking

  4. Straight away all i can say is EXPENSIVE!!!!! and easier way to get from Heathrow to chelsea is through the underground. At heathrow they have 3 underground station named Terminals 1,2,3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5. The line that you will be getting on is the Piccadilly Line (Navy Blue) and go eastbound till you get to the station of Earl's Court, this is one of the stations in the Chelsea area, as I do not know where abouts in Chelsea you are going I cannot give you direct directions. You may be going to Fulham Broadway meaning you will change at Earl's Court and go southbound on the District Line (Green), other stations in Chelsea area are Gloucester Road, South Kensington and West Brompton.

Add in the additional information where abouts you are going then I will edit this message to tell you which station will be best for you.

Below will be an underground map, for a map on the day you will be able to get one at the station at Heathrow.

    Good Luck

    Sam

(please add where you are going in Chelsea)
