How much is about 150 pounds of railroad spikes worth?

me and my friends collected about 150 pounds of railroad spikes and were wondering if there worth anything.

how did you get them? stealing railroad property

scrap steel is about $80.00 a ton.

Scrap dealers will not accept any scrap that comes from a railroad unless you can prove you had the right to salvage it.So they are worth nothing.Be very careful about being on railroad property collecting anything.They will probably arrest you these days.

Around here scrap steel is goung for about $.11 a pound but you will be asked where you got them and they take tag numbers just in case they were pulled from a working track.
