How much is admission for the Kentucky Derby?

Some friends and I are considering going to the races this year, and can't seem to find out how much tickets/admission is for the infield at the derby. I've looked on Churchill Downs' website and they have listed for tickets to all races in 2007 (the list there not including last years derby or this years races at all) as being a whole $2. I know the derby is more than that, but I'd love some info and some sources to back up that info if you got it. Thanks a ton!

  1. I believe that general admission on Derby Day is $40.  You can buy tickets for seats in advance, but I don't think they sell any advance tickets for Derby Day.  They sell general admission all day... they don't sell out... but if you want a good position around the outside of the infield so you can see the race, you'll need to get there really early and wait outside the gate until they let you in.

  2. go to stub hub...they have tickets...
