how much does an african grey parrot cost?

i live in key west and a pet store is trying to sell it to me for$1200 is that good?

should i take the offer??

I paid $950.00 for my Congo African Grey, and that was in the year 2000.  I would say $1200.00 is not a bad price.

They start at  $1200. in SEATTLE and that is from the biggest breeder.

If you are serious about getting one, go through a local, reputable breeder that hand raises babies.  A pet store in Key West may have birds that are wild caught and illegally smuggled into the country (and they might not even be aware of it.)

wow i dont know but do they sale african lions i LOVE!! lions i grew up looking at then im 13 and still LOVE!! them do they sale them cause if they do man i have to be there!

I would not buy a parrot from a Pet Store.  Why don't you find a breeder in your area.  You will get a much better bird and probably cheaper.
