If you are serious buy a good quality double action model from a reputable dealer. They are not cheap (not sure what the price is now) but it is an investment. Also buy a hose and adaptor for the can if you are not using a compressor.

Rremember that you may have to scout around to find the proper support and Art materials to use now that much Art has gone on to computer.

A lot of hard work and practice is needed but the rewards and the fun can be great.

Depends on how serious you intend on becoming. A single action air-brush, that can probably be found at a hobby store, goes for around $60. Single action denotes that all you have to do is push down the button and paint/air comes out. A double action on the other hand lets you control the amount of paint.

A double action set, including compressor, paints, etc. will run you anywhere from $300-$500. Of course there are probably better deals out there.
