I will be staying in DR for a few months, and I was curious on how much my electricity bill would be. I work from home, so it will be on constantly. OHH yeah, what about the electricity, how often do they go out, and how soon does it come back on.

  1. I hope you will be living in a good area of town. Usually the "good areas" don't have as much problems with the electricity being off, but it happens. Plan to have a second source of power if you are going to need electricity 24/7. It also depends on how many electrical appliances you have, specially the ones that consume the most energy, such as; air conditioners, computers, etc. As I mentioned earlier, your bill will depend on your electrical consumption. I would guess you will be paying around 4-5 Dominican pesos. Good luck

  2. All depending where you will live. I have allways electricity and i'm paying 600 rds/ montly (average). It go's off about two times a month and during a few hours... so no conplaining.
