  1. It can vary quite a lot, but it's definitely not going to be cheap.  They'll consider the type of insurance (liability vs. full coverage), the car, the student's grades, and the student's s*x, among other things.

This free resource site for parents of teen drivers has a whole section on getting quotes from reputable companies, as well as tips for getting the best deal on a new teen's insurance.

  2. For car insurance the obvious way to get a good quote is do a rate comparison on car policies. Make certain that you choose similar policies with the same deductibles, auto model, location, etc so that all things are an accurate comparison.

What I most often recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have big name insurers and can give several quotes on auto insurance polices.

  3. A lot. When i first got my liecence, i wanted to know if i could afford to own a car. I couldn't.

In quebec, i think it cost around $3000 per year, and that was on an old car, high deductable, ect... The price can change depending on where you live.

  4. v_3964z, Try getting an online insurance quote It's free and quick to do. http://www.multipleautoinsurancequotes.c...

    Good Luck.

  5. I have met this kind of problem before, here is the resource I found useful.http://car-insurance.bestips.info/car-in...

  6. an arm and a leg

  7. Hard to say, depends on where you live, type of car, miles the teen is expected to drive daily, type of coverage.  etc.

shop around, esurance can give you several quotes.

If your teen has good grades, they can get a good student discount.

We just added our 17 year old son who has had his license for one year, no tickets, liability only on a 12 year old car and it was $274 additional every 6 months to our policy.  All of our cars are old (over 10 years) and he only will be driving 5 miles to work & school.

  8. Every insurance company has different rule on the other including the payment, type of car and other coverage.

  9. Insurance is very individual so call around, get quotes. See this http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html it's one form to get a number of quotes from different insurers. It's free and a big time saver.
