How much is daycare for a newborn?

I will have to go back to work after my maternity leave what is the avg weekly cost for daycare? I'm in Texas if that helps.

The only people that could give you an accurate estimate would be someone who lives in your immediate area. Daycare prices vary greatly between areas. Infant daycare spots are often hard to come buy and are definitely far more expensive (due to the fact that infants require much more individualized care). If I were you, I would do my research and even consider hiring a nanny to come into your home. Nannies are usually more flexible with timing and can often be less expensive than daycare centres. Not to mention, if your baby is sick, you don't need to stay home from work!

For a newborn anywhere between $130 and $175/week is normal.

Here in VA I pay $200/week.  That's for newborns up until they move to the toddler room (usually around 18 months).

In my area all the daycares i've checked have started at $130/wk for newborns. I live in Tennessee.

I live in NY, but I was paying $34 a day for my daughter at daycare, and that was as a toddler.  The newborn rate was a couple dollars more a day.
