  1. It really depends on where you live and what the centers offer.  I pay $1010/month in NC.  That is on the high end but I couldn't find anything under $700 around here.

Call around and get estimates - they will be happy to talk to you over the phone.  Visit some centers and keep in mind that the cheapest is not always your best bet.

  2. What area of WI?

Here are a list of Day Care Centers and Nurseries in WI. Call them and ask.

  3. Not only does the state matter, but the area of your state matters too. It also depends upon the type of daycare...Home vs. Center, and then it depends upon that specific places rates, what sort of extras they offer, etc.

I am in Minnesota and we have a fairly good deal (for our city) right now at $600 a month (for full time care), at a wonderful in-home provider who does some education each day, but not necessarily age specific. On the other hand, my sister in law lives in Minnesota but a few hours away from us, and sends her child to a somewhat high end Center that has infant, toddler, and preschool "programs", each of which include a couple of hours a day of age specific curriculum...and they pay $2000 a month.

So yeah - it can really vary. You will just have to research in your specific city/town. Make phone calls, get references, etc. Keep searching until you find a place that you like, has a good reputation, AND is affordable...or at least affordable compared to some other places you will find...lol

  4. Where in wi are you going to be? I charge $2 an hour! Jamee200216@yahoo.com

  5. Where I live in Indiana, you could pay from $240-$400 or even more...just depends with in a few miles makes a big difference.

  6. In TX full time is at least $600 a month. Look at a bunch and go with the cleanest, no TV, and activities for the kids. We love our, I think it's a chain- Playtime for Kids, so see if there's one in your area.

They charge less after potty training age.

It might be cheaper to use an in-home or nanny or au pair.

  7. It depends on the area you live in.  I pay $160 a week for my 1 year old.  As your child gets older the cost per week usually goes down about $5 to $10.  Go to your local day care centers and ask them what their rates are and if there is a waiting list.  Some places have long waiting lists, and large deposit fees so you may want to look into it now if you have a particular place in mind.
