How much is duty tax in america?

I'm from canada and travelling to america tomorrow. we are only going to be there less than a day.

Is there a percentage of duty tax we'd have to pay for the items we brought and brang back to canada?

I would like to add that this is a Canadian tax question, rather than a US tax question.  Aside from that, the answer is that the allowance and duty rates depend on the items.

Duty on imported items depends on the type of item.  There is not a fixed percentage.
