One of my mates went to the US last month and told me that the price of gas over there is $4 a gallon (about £2), whereas here in the UK its at a massive $10+ (about £5 a gallon). Is this true, that is crazy cheap and i dont understand why so many americans are moaning about this price.

  1. it's $0.98.8 usd per litre.

we're just used to dirt cheap fuel.

our entire economy and infrastructure is based on cheap fuel.

the US is a really large country and it's essential because of all the transportation needs.

  2. I paid around $4.53 a gallon in June this year in California. It's roughly 60p a litre.

  3. Well its like $3.80 a gallon, sorry can't tell you by liter.  I didn't know it cost so much in the UK, but I am not moaning about the price (just so you know)

  4. lol..good point there.  Over here in st. lucia, gas is 12.95 per gallon.  That's like a little over 5U.S.  It's cheaper over there than here.

  5. It's not the price of gasoline so much as the rapid increase in price... Gas went from about $3.00 per gallon to $4.50 in a very short time, and people were not prepared for the change. Now, prices are starting to come down again, but will still remain higher than they were before.

  6. in Colorado it's about $3 a gallon we whine because we are use to lower prices i remember a time when there was $1 a gallon gas.
