3.99$ in downstate illinois, down from 4.19 last week.

my friend in germany today told me it is 1.50 euros per litre in germany.  it takes 3.78 litres to make a gallon, and 1.50 euros is around 2.75 $ or so.  so, price per gallon is roughly equivalent to 10.40 us dollars per gallon.  this is just rough mental calculation, i didnt check the actual exchange rate today.

in regards to previous post from canada, 1.20 C$ is about the same as 1.20 U$ since the two dollars are almost at par (not quite, but close enough for now).  so 1.20 $ * 3.78 litres is aprox equiv to 4.55$/gal.

america has it dirt cheap, my friends.  if you want to complain about high gas prices, go to europe and canada first.

Here in Southeast Michigan, it went down yesterday:

Regular Unleaded: $3.95 - $4.22

Premium Unleaded: $4.15 - $4.45

E-85: $3.51 - $3.90

Diesel: $4.79 - $4.92

I have no idea why Thrifty, a cheapo gas station, is charging more for gas than Shell is, but thats how it has been for the past week. 2 of my cars use regular gas, and one uses premium gas, so i often find myself paying either about $4.60 or $4.85 for gas depending on which car i drive. The cheapest of my cars cost me like $47/tank and the most expensive costs me no less than $80 a tank.
