  1. A one month Carte orange costs 55.10 euros for zones 1&2 (which includes all of Paris proper).

  2. Go to http://officialinternettv.com/videos.php...

There are a lot of videos to teach you everyting about Paris

  3. The public transportation company is the RATP. The monthly card is called "carte orange". The card is valid for a whole calendar month (eg september, october). This cards allows unlimited travelling with bus, tramway, metro, RER, suburb trains.

The Paris area is divided in zones. zone 1 is Paris itself, zone 2 is a ring surrounding Paris, zone 3 is a ring surrounding the zone 2, and so on.

The cost depends on how many zones you want. The "carte orange" includes at least 2 zones.

    Zone 1 and 2 (Paris itself): €55,10

Zone 1 to 3  (includes La Défense, Saint-Denis, Le Bourget): €72,90

Zone 1 to 4  (includes airport Orly, Versailles): 90,20

    Zone 1 to 5  (includes airport Charles-de-Gaulle, Disneyland): €108,40

Zone 1 to 6  (includes Provins, Fontainebleau): €122,10

The metro lines are in the zone 1 and some of them reach the zone 3. A "carte orange" for the zones 1-2 is sufficient if you only need to take the metro.
