How much is it likely to cost me to move house?

My property is worth (at today's prices) about 285,000 and I want to move about 120 miles away. With legal and estate agent's fees, removal costs, HIPS, and other bits and bobs, I really have no idea.

You forgot stamp duty on the house you're buying.

I would budget for a total cost of about £25,000
