How much is it normal to tip in a restaurant in Brisbane?

It is not necessary to tip at all in Brisbane. But if you can and the service is good then go ahead. Thats how it should be. I once got abused for not tipping in the U.S. and coz I'm from Brisbane I just hurled abuse back. Lesson #1 in the U.S. - tipping is expected.

hmm... there are certain "common sense" rules, written, or unwritten, which state that, to be a gentleman, you shoultd tip at least 10 percent of the value you should normally pay, but to be really generous, the value is 20 percent. definetly not more, if you ain't sick or something and have lots of cash left over for you to spend in the next few days, cause after that you wouldn't be able to spend it or smth... ;) but, normally, 10 percent is enough
