How much is it to bye all the ski gear you need for a ski trip?

Depends on brand, country and size. But renting and return to the shop later would be better if you are not often skiing.

Quality skis and bindings cost about $1000 and a good fitted pair of boots will cost around $600.  You get what you pay for especially with boots and when you're on the lift in a blizzard with numb feet you will regret buying cheap ones.  Clothes don't matter much as long as you aren't worried about wearing the latest fashions.  Just get a decent waterproof jacket, pants, hat, gloves and goggles.

it will cost you a lot of money if you are going to by everything new. if you rent skis, boots, and poles that should cost about 25+ dollars , clothing and other stuff will excede $150

Boots, poles, skis, bindings, maybe on the used market $300. US.  New including clothes, helmet, goggles, ski gear, apres ski gear and party clothes $15,000 maybe for top of the line.

Not that much.  I am assuming you will rent skis, boots, polls. So you will need;

Ski pants(wateproof, insulated usually $100+ but at this time in the season great deals can be found.

Ski Jacket(same as above)

Gloves (you may want 2 pair)

Hat

Face mask (think bank robber)

Long underwear( don't get cotton I use hot chilli's and they are about 25 for bottom and 25 for top.  Again, good deals this time of year.

Socks (it is important to get skiing socks otherwise your feet will be cold and wet, and they will be falling down)

I think this time of year you can get all that stuff for less than 200
