Both of the other two answers come from people who obviously have no sense.  Th YMCS has much more than swimming.  Our local Y has weights, cardio equipment, basketball, raquetball, handball, both a mens and womens steam room, and a whirlpool, among many other things.  They also usually have professional trainers that work with you and help you get the best workout you can.  As for the cost, the last time I went without a membership, it was ten bucks for the whole day.  For that you could go in the morning, leave and eat lunch or whatever, then go back in the afternoon or early evening.
