Why don't you provide your own overdraft protection?  Don't use a debit card.  Work mostly from cash.  If you write a check, enter it in your checkbook immediately and keep an accurate balance.  Reconcile your bank statement as soon as it arrives.

Sound old-fashioned?  You bet it is but it works!

When you have a couple of hundred dollars saved, leave them in your checking account but don't show them in your balance.  That will be your FREE overdraft protection.

From my experience, it's a free service to have...but in the event you need it there is a ten dollar service fee per day if you do actually need it...but that is way better than getting charged per transaction that hits your account at like 30$ a pop...go in and ask a banker for odp!
