How much is it to issue a small claims court summons?

  1. Where?

    It's usually very cheap to file a small claims case.  No lawyers are allowed, so it's just the two of you stating your cases.  It might cost you a few dollars to actually serve the summons, but other than that there would be minimal cost.

    Contact your local court clerk, they can give you all the costs involved.

  3. It depends on the city and state or area you are issuing the summons in.  The costs vary.

  4. Up to £300 it's £30, £300-£500 it's £50, £500-£1000 it's £80, £1000-£5000 it's £120. Hope this helps.

  7. You won't know unless you call your local court.  It's different in every district, county, and state.  Like in my court in Central PA, it could range from $110-$200 depending on the amount, but the judge will usually have the defendant pay back your filing costs if you win.
