  1. If would be cheaper just to but another vehicle because the cost would be more than the vehicle is worth...

  2. That's going to depend on where it comes from.

The guy above me speaks of the costs involved in importing a right-hand drive car.

But, you can get a limited few here without the importing.

AM General made thousands of mail trucks with right-hand drive. There are others...................

  3. It is perfectly legal to own a right-hand drive car and drive it, there's just some governmental red-tape to get through.

I know a couple guys with R33 Nissan Skylines, another with a S13 Silvia and one with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, all RHD, titled and registered for road use.

http://www.nhtsa.gov has the information you're looking for under their Vehicle Importation guidelines.

The cost, on the other hand, varies with the Registered Importer and the vehicle. Each RI is free to charge whatever they desire to modify any vehicle.

To give you a better idea, Motorex charges about $50,000 for a USA-legalized R32 model Nissan Skyline GTR and roughly $90,000 for a R34 GTR V-spec II model. That's for the car, paperwork, modifications, title, everything you need to go to your local DMV and get plates for it.

  4. yes legal and alot because the whole car need to be changed around prob more then $10000
