You have an"insertion" fee for posting on Ebay, then if you want to add anything like a picture, use bold print., there are extra fees, so to list an item it may cost you $5.00 + extras. When you sel  EBAY takes a percentage of the top and if you balance is $25.00 or over they get another percentage. Do not forget shipping and handling fees. It varies according to the starting price and the final sale price. The listing price is lower, maybe a dollar or 2 for a lower priced item. The final value fee is the biggie. For store items, it can be as much as 10%. For auction items, it starts at 8.75% and goes up from there. PayPal fees can run another sizable sum, and it varies. Be prepared to loose 12-15% easy on a listing.

By the way, starting next October all eBay purchases will have to be online payments (PayPal or your own credit card account), except for payment on pickup.
