  1. I don't know about the furnace but I got rid of my air conditioner after placing a High R-value Radiant Barrier Foil on every external wall behind Wood Panelling, Plywood, and in some places behind an extra thin layer of Drywall.

Only Energy Conservation Specialists has High R-value Radiant Barrier Foils found 3-4 times reduced in cost on eBay for the ordinary DIYers.  Very safe to use.

About one 2000 Sq. Ft. Roll did it, now under $200 where normally found well over $600 for same quantities.

You should know, two Radiant Barrier Foils Layers at minimum 3/4" air space distances to one another are needed to make them work with their High R-values.  But these Radiant Barrier Foils are designed to have each separate layer on opposite sides of the building's exterior walls.  This allows 1 layer per exterior wall if insulating opposite wall.

Using them will let the outside get to +1000 or a -400 and still allow you to afford your energy bills.  No other insulaton product has this much High R-value Insulation Protection.  they got 300 degree limitations.

Energy Conservation Specialists build a Contest Model about 10 years ago (I think that is about 2000 sq ft) and has won every yearly High Energy Efficiency Contest since than, leaving the model in place without any further improvements while all the other quality insulation manufacturers are taking their models down to improve them for next year's manufacturer level contest.

    >>>>>This might help you cut expenses to only needing a small furnace.  Good Luck!

  2. my 24hr bedroom a.c  electricity costs me 200$a month alone

  3. -how would you install the ducts?  under the floor?  in the attic?  can workmen actually get there to do that?

-how many rooms?  ie, how many ducts?

-where's the furnace/a/c going to go?  garage?

-how much is labor in your part of the country?

maybe you should call someone who does that and ask.
