Its tough to give one figure for renting an entire floor of any high rise building due to the fact that there is a significant difference between the area of the first floor and the top floor, as most buildings actually taper in. That being said, the GLA or gross leasable area for the ESB is 2,768,581 square feet over 102 floors. While some of this is retail space, both ground level and observation, that averages out to 27,143 square feet per floor. At current NYC rental rates for office space in high profile buildings - as high as $110 psf - but averaging around $75 psf, a potential tenant would be looking at an annual rental amount of $2,035,725.

  3. A whole floor????  I would assume, judging by NYC rentals, that it would be a around 1/2 million a month.
