I work for o2 to sent a text to your girlfriend in india is only 1 text from your allowance nothing for her to recieve,

if she texts you back it will take 4 from her allowance and free for you to recieve

from u.k to india depends upon your network , Between 13 pence to 35 pence per text

and from India to U.k i think its same rate for all network , 5 indian rs per text message.

( per msg means they allow 160 letters or something like that so if you type long msg they might charge for 2 messages. so be careful
