How much is it to upgrade to a DVR for Dish Network?

Ok, we have just 2 regular recievers and we want to get the DVR for both of them. How much would it cost to upgrade them? Which is the lowest price deal possible?

The standard DVR upgrade is free, with a $5.99 a month usage fee. The high definition DVR upgrade is between $250

and $600 depending on the receiver. In other words you buy the receiver. Also if you dont already have high definition they will have to install a second dish for those channels. Dish Network is eager not to lose you as a customer so ask for the best deal, If the operator says they can not help you ask for a supervisor they will give you things the first operator can not. The trick is if they think you are going to cancel , they will do almost anything to keep you.

Call Dish Network directly. 99% of the time they are willing to either give you DVRs for a low monthly fee or if they can't they will probably give you a month or 2 of free movie channels.
