It really depends on if the emerald is flawless.  If it has inclusions, or is discolored it decreases the value.  Also it depends on the caret weight.  I would recommend going to your local jewler, and asking them if they could tell you what the worth of it was.  Because the prices vary greatly.  A flawless 1 caret can be worth a great deal of money!
