How much is my remington 700p (pic included) that's never been fired worth?

here is a remington 700 police in 300 win mag. Brand new gun, never been shot. Have the original box with the original instruction manual just the way it came. I have a badger ordnance picatinny rail mounted on there. I also have a badger ordance tactical k**b that needs to be installed on the bolt. I do have warne rings also. The rings and scope you see in the picture are just for looks, I just put them on there to complete the look of the rifle. This rifle is brand new, never been fired, was bought 2 months ago and spent almost 1200 on it, 940 for rifle and the rest for picatinny rail, tactical k**b and rings. Unfortunately I have to sell this because I will never use it. buying it was a big mistake, just something I had the urge for and did it for no reason. Where is a good place to sell this and what do you think I can expect for it? Gunsamerica and gunsonthenet.com have some up but I see there were no bids on them, so is it really hard to sell this do you think?

  1. Nice rifle.  I wish I could afford one.

Did you try gunbroker.com?  Posting ads at the local gun club or shooting range?  Pawn shop?

Did you ever consider learning to shoot?  You might surprise yourself and actually enjoy it.

    Good luck.

  2. Having never been fired and hunting season coming-up you should get $1,000.00 easy.

  3. Your link is not working for me but a couple of years ago an acquaintance of mine had to sell a similarly equipped Remington 700 in .308 Winchester.  They wanted a thousand but ending up have to sell it for $800.  No, I didn't buy it; had I been in the market for a rifle like that I would have paid the asking price because:  1. It was worth it; 2. I don't try to take advantage of people in desperate situations.

Here's a better suggestion: Take it to a local gun shop and ask them to sell it on consignment.

    Good luck.

  4. Sounds like a good unit that you have there man. are you sure you want to sell it?

Dude keep it for a while, you may change your mind as Remingtons are good guns for the money and will sell.

If you absoulutely need to get rid of the thing put it on Ebay and anything else you can think of, you will get a buyer.

Here is Australia a gun like yours with its set up will fetch for about 2k+ easy.
