I *might* be selling my old computer I built about 4 years ago to a friend I would just like to know what a fair price would be.

Here's the spec's:

CPU: AMD Athalon 64 3000+ ~2.009 GHz (Socket 754, Zalman copper air cooler)

Motherboard: DFI LanParty UT nF3 250gb

Video Card: PNY N'vidia 6600GT (AGP, Zalman dual-tone air cooler)

Sound Card: Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro

Hard Drive: Western Digital 120gb SATA hard drive

CD-ROM Drive: Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-A09 16x (Black, to match the case)

Case: Can't remember the exact model, but it's an antec case with a 550 watt power supply, 3 blue L.E.D case fans, 2 blue cold cathode lights, and a plastic window on the side of the case.

So if anyone could give me an estimate as to how much my computer is worth it would be much appreciated, thanks :)

  1. About $200

  2. Sometimes you end up making more money by selling the parts individually.

The most expensive/important peices on your PC seem to be the video card and the sound card, as those can run in the hundreds of dollars.

I know most X-Fi Fatali1ty cards can be over $150 alone. The video card can run around $100 brand new. The HD is probably the cheapest part, running around $50.

I would try selling the parts by themself...you may end up with more purchases and money on eBay doing it that way.

  3. I'd say something around $240.
