Question:

How much is race impacting this race for pres?

I don't doubt that Obama is going to get votes based just on the fact that he is black. I call them the "reverse racism vote."

I also think that McCain will get votes based just on the fact that Obama is black. I call them the "KKK vote."

The question is this-is it going to have any impact in the end or do the two groups cancel each other out?

How about actual answers without and name calling please!

  1. Actually, there was something on the news where I live about how the KKK is urging their members to vote for Obama. They believe that by having a black president, then it will encourage more white people to join them. I believe that maybe alot of people will vote for Obama just because he's black, but I also believe that alot of people will vote for him because he is not anything like Bush, and I think it's safe to say no one wants another Bush in office. I like Obama better than I like McCain, but I really like Biden as our VP.

  2. in an ideal world it shouldn't matter, but aswell u know america has some deep rooted problems like racism its a shame that the worlds super power in the 20th century is still having same problems that existed 200 years ago, america needs to move on and sort its race issues out, is the problem really his skin colour or is it his religious beliefs?

  3. you have a good point, I think they will cancel each other out. We will someday have a black president and will have a woman president. I just hope it is not obama. I would have voted for Condolezza Rice in a heart beat.

  4. Yh youre right. Most will vote for Mccain on the day of the election and Obama wont know what hit him.

Obama may go through the bradley effect - where white people say lots of good things about Obama and that theyll vote for him ..when really they will vote for Mccain.

They would rather vote for a troll like Mccain and a moose eater like Palin rather than an intelligent half black dude.

It simply tells you how some people are jealous of Obama's way of brilliant public speaking  when he's black.

And if Obama wins - he'll be assasinated if possible or it might trigger riots - white supremist groups and old people.

  5. ..They could cancel each other out, but then you see we have a lot of ignorant racists voting both sides that shouldn't be voting in the first place...

  6. Obama will get the black vote and it will be an edge for him.  In Chicago, this is how things work.  The majority of black voters vote black good or bad...Google Cook County board President Todd Stroger to see an example of this.  McCain will also get the white vote, but I don't think it's going to impact the results that strongly.  So in conclusion, Obama NEEDS the black vote to stay afloat.

  7. Race is always a factor.  Even Obama is playing the race card all the time,

  8. Well I do think the black vote will have a big impact on Obama's numbers. But I don't think there are going to be a whole lot of those "oh we gotta vote for him JUST cause he's black" votes.

    Maybe I'm naive.

This site sure does bring out some of the finest bigots I've ever seen though.

Hypnotik-Wow that's the most disgusting thing I've heard!

  9. That might be about impossible to tell.   you'd never really know if someone voted for Obama just because he's black or if they voted McCain just because Obama is black.   So you won't know how many were in each group and therefore you won't know if they canceled each other out or not.

  10. One can never tell.  They're too even at the moment.  We can only find out in November.
