How much is red light camera violation in NYC?

I kindda got stuck in a jam past a light but the red light camera go off.

I never gotten one before and I want to know is there a chance they would consider the violation invalid. There was a car coming in from service road and another car behind me.

If I am at no contest at it how much will the ticket be including all those "surcharge" etc etc...

The most important thing one should know about these types of summonses is that they carry no points. Because it would be impossible to prove who was driving the vehicle at the time of the infraction, this summons is treated as a parking ticket and usually carries around a $50 fine.

Payments made for Red Light Camera violations may not reflect the total amount due. If your payment is more than 30 days past due, a $25.00 penalty will be added to the original fine on the Notice of Liability.
