  1. I'm sure some would think much less highly of me than I see myself.

  2. definitely depends if you are in denial.

I am a straight forward person, and FEEL that I see myself clearly...my strengths and weaknesses.  SO there is not much difference.  This is my opinion of myself, I am sure some may disagree.

However, there are people who do not see themselves clearly.  They may see themselves as better than they actually are, or worse.  Regardless, there is a pretty big difference between who they think they are and who they really are.

  3. It depends, some people are in denial.

  4. Who do you think you are is a confrontational question. Who you really are is a sort of like a brooding type of question

  5. If you are in touch with reality then the distance is zero.

  6. That's a very good question, and I'm going to answer it the best that I can. Who we think we are, and who we really are, are often very different things. We as human beings have a tendancy to forget to get to know ourselves because we are always so involved in what's going on around us. Who we THINK we are is often who other people tell us we are, what they see in us. That is often inaccurate because we often portray a person that is very unlike the person inside. For example, people percieve me as a cocky outspoken tough ***** who isn't afraid to say anything to anyone, but in reality, I am very shy, quiet, and even afraid. That outspokenness is really a defense mechanism. So maybe, if you want to get to know yourself you should think about how people see you, and then consider if that is really accurate. Talk to a friend about it, it might give you some good insight.
