How much is the fine for failure to appear in court for a traffic ticket?

  1. Your question is too general, and vague to give a correct answer.  A lot would depend on whether it was a moving/non-moving (compliance) violation, or a license (suspended/revoked) violation.  You may be facing a $1000 fine, and jail time, or a $25 fine.  Next time include City/State of arrest, exact violation, and driving record.


  2. That "fine" will be evaluated by the judge. What happens is the county puts a warrant out for your arrest. The next time you present your driver's license to any cop in the USA you go to jail until contact is made with the court you failed to appear in.

  3. if you can't mail in the fine, the fine is huge, especially for a 2nd offense.  You will not only be fined but probably go to jail...

  4. the fine can be pretty big because aloing with you not showing up for the court they are getting a bench warrent out. when you fail to show up they send officers after you
