  1. There is no minimum time for a type rating.  You can be a Private Pilot rated in any Part 23 Transport Category airplane.  And with the change in Chapter 32, you can now get ratings in stuff that used to require an LOA (letter of authorization) like the P51 Mustang or F86.

The type ride covers all the stuff to be qualified in that aircraft.

However, what you can do is limited by the type of certificate you hold; i.e. a Private Pilot couldn't operate a 707 for compensation because he doesn't have a Commercial license.

  2. The above answers are correct.

It depends on the country where you hold your licence, the country where the aircraft is registered, and the Company that owns the aircraft.  In addition, I suspect the insuror may have some quibbles with a "low time" (<1000 hrs) taking command of such an aircraft.  So if you can specify where the specific aircraft is registered, and what country has issued your licence, I'm sure there is somebody familair with your country's regulations who is willing to chip in their two cents' worth.

At 200 or even 350 hours, I doubt you could competently operate a complex aircraft such as the A320, especially in an emergency situation in IMC.

  3. If you can buy it you can fly it. No minimum hours for a type rating on a private pilots certificate.

  4. Which type of airbus A300  A340 A380

they are all different  it depends on what type of engine and ETOPS rating "How far it can go from an airport"

I know it did not answer your question but i tried

  5. In the US to fly this airplane you would need at minimum a private pilot multi engine rating with a type rating for the plane.  A type rating is additional training you will have to receive which is basically just type specific about that aircraft such as systems, procedures and so on.  Once you have this, your cleared to go.
