There are no specific guidelines in place for wages on weekend shifts. Especially with part-time jobs, most employers just go with what they regularly pay on weekdays - minimum of $8.00 per hour in Ontario.

There are laws in place for overtime work, though, which is what I think you're asking about.

Most employers are required to follow a 44-hour work-week. For each additional hour worked by an employee (like on Saturdays) pay is calculated at a "time-and-a-half" rate ... that's 1.5 times whatever they're usually paid.

Hypothetically, the very least you could be paid in Toronto for overtime work on the weekend is $12 per hour. ($8 x 1.5 = 12).
