How much is the most luggage has to weight to not get charged extra?

i dont mean the carry on, but the other one.. i forget wat its called..

im going on continental.. and i want to be sure bc my mom is packing aloooot of stuff.. and we dont want to be charged extra. please help.

  1. All you really need is something the size of a backpack and not more than 40 pounds in weight... anything else is just wasted space and weight... and if you go over the limit the OVER CHARGES can be terrible.

    AmeriKans all take more than they need because they have all seen the movies and they think they need 3 suitcases and a steamer trunk.

    ONE SUITCASE... NOT OVER 40 POUNTS and SMALL ENOUGH TO FIT UNDER THE SEAT IN FRONT OF YOU.

It depends on where you are going, check your ticket or with the airline, maybe their website.  If there is no weight restriction, then you may be allowed one big bag.  Also check the rule for hand luggage, as it is possible to put heavy things in them if you don't mind lugging it around and there is no weight restriction.
