However the easiest way to get from LGA to Somerset NJ would be to take the Grand Central Parkway, to the BQE to the Verrazano Bridge (the toll here is $10) to the Staten Island Expressway, to the West Shore Expressway, over the Outerbridge Crossing (no toll going into NJ) to 440 which turns into 287 north at Edison, to Somerset.
