How much is the price of a brand new "Laptop" and a brand new "Desktop" computer in Vancouver?

Please give an approximate price for a brand new "Laptop" and a brand new "Desktop" computer in Vancouver.

I know the prices differ from brand to brand but at least you may give a range for them there.

Here in our country a brand new "Laptop" costs almost $1500-1800 and a desktop around $800-1000. (american dollar)

Is it almost the same there?
