U.S. "worth" is generally measured in Gross Domestic Product (GDP).  As of 2007 (which is the most recently fully accurate number), the U.S. GDP was roughly $13.794 trillion dollars.  Keep in mind that GDP includes only economic goods and services produced within the U.S. A foreign corporation's production  in the U.S. will be included in GDP while an American owned firm operating abroad will not.
